He has worked in journalism and copywriting for some 18 years, mostly for Christian media publications in the UK, the US and Australia. He is an English graduate from the University of St Andrews in Scotland where he was President of the St Andrews Literary Society. In his free time, he enjoys writing devotionals and runs his own blog (hislovefrees.life). Chris has traveled extensively, living briefly in South Africa and Belgium, and now resides in South Wales in the UK with his wife and children.

Egyptian archeologists discover fortress, sword possibly from Pharaoh during Exodus period

A fortress from the reign of the Egyptian pharaoh, popularly although not definitively associated with the book of Exodus when the Israelites were enslaved, has been discovered by archaeologists. According to Biblical Archaeology, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities confirmed the finding from the era of Ramesses II (1279 - 1213 BC), known as Ramesses the Great, and located in the north west of the Nile Delta, 60 miles south of Alexandria.

Members of the U.K. House of Commons [Parliament] are to be given a “free vote” on whether assisted dying should be legalized - but a top Christian doctor has questioned the timing of the legal bill. Assisted dying was rejected by parliamentarians in 2015 but Labour MP Kim Leadbeater is pushing for a renewed debate on the issue after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer pledged to allow MPs a vote, after indicating his own support for a change in law.

'Trump Bible' seems only version to fulfill Oklahoma official's specific requirements for classroom Bibles

A so-called “Trump Bible” matches perfectly the requirements by Republican Ryan Walters to put a Bible in every classroom of public schools in Oklahoma, according to a city publication, Oklahoma Watch. As reported by Christian Daily International, Ryan Walters, Oklahoma State’s Superintendent for Public Instruction, and responsible for the oversight of elementary and secondary schools, unveiled the plan for the Bibles in schools in June, 2024.
