At the initiative of Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and with the support of the Christian Alliance of Evangelical Churches of Argentina (ACIERA) and the Argentine Bible Society (SBA), among others, more than 400 cities across the country united to bring the message of hope in Jesus Christ to the streets of Argentina. As part of the effort, over 4,000 strategically located prayer tables were organized, where the Word of God was shared and prayers were offered for citizens who were open to embrace the gesture of love and faith.
According to organizers, the main objective was to bring the Church to the streets, and indeed, an army of believers in Jesus participated in various initiatives to preach the Gospel. Prayer tables were set up in public spaces such as squares, shopping mall entrances, and pedestrian areas, where volunteers collected prayer requests. Additionally, services like blood pressure checks were offered, creating opportunities to engage in conversations and share the Christian message.
Other volunteers spread love and faith in creative ways, such as giving hugs while wearing Christmas hats and clown noses—a gesture that captured the attention of passersby and created openings to convey messages of compassion and hope.
The event featured music, moments of reflection, and a television broadcast produced by Canal Luz. The program was hosted by Pastor Alejandro Espínola (secretary of ACIERA) and Paula Rodríguez (YWAM), with contributions from Pablo Espínola. During the three-hour broadcast, pastors and evangelists were interviewed both in the studio and via video calls, while correspondents from various parts of the country provided detailed reports on the activities taking place.
Among the notable interviews were those with Rosario pastors José Luis Urso and David Sensini, as well as Gisela Scaglia, vice-governor of the province of Santa Fe. Accompanied by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, Scaglia acknowledged the positive impact of evangelical churches on society.
The lieutenant governor shared her experience of attending a significant event at an evangelical church for the first time:
“I felt a very special energy, an important ally on the journey we had to undertake. It was a key moment to understand how to work for people’s religious sensibilities and how much faith people need to recover,” she said.
The relationship between the government of Santa Fe and the evangelical churches has been strengthened, thanks to young pastors such as David Sensini, in his role as spiritual advisor, and Walter Ghione, who serves as a provincial legislator.
“Our province is called Santa Fe,” Scaglia noted, “and as its name suggests, it needs to recover that faith to move forward.” She emphasized the importance of spirituality in societal development.
Pastor Sensini added, “The evangelical church has always been where there is need and where the people are.”
The day concluded with words from the president of ACIERA, who expressed satisfaction with the national mobilization that brought hope and spiritual transformation to the streets. Prayer tables continued to receive petitions, and hundreds of people accepted the message of faith. The National Day of Evangelization demonstrated that an entire country can unite to share Jesus with love and courage, organizers said.
